Fantasy epic King Arthur: Legend of the Sword on TV – that’s what it’s all about
After the death of his father Uther Pendragon (Eric Bana), Arthur (Charlie Hunnam) grows up as a common crook on the streets of Londinium, while the ruthless Vortigern (Jude Law) sits on his throne. Only when he pulls the legendary sword Excalibur from the stone does he begin to face his fate, conquer his inner demons and claim his rightful place in Camelot.
Actually, filmmaker Guy Ritchie had in mind a whole Marvel-esque one Film universe with six films about the Arthurian legend to accomplish. However, his Arthur film fell far short of expectations and so it was only a film about the legendary king of England, while the knights of his round table went without an adventure of their own.
