37 seconds

If the scenario of 37 seconds Inspires very much real facts, the creators have taken some liberties for dramatic reasons and out of respect for families. Some characters have been created for the needs of fiction. But the main thing is there: to retrace the exemplary struggle of a whole fisherman’s village as closely as possible, the immense pain of loved ones and the feeling of injustice in the face of a truth that seems to escape them. Despite two non-places pronounced by French and then British justice, doubt persists in fact on the causes of the drama, in particular the thesis of a hanging with a submarine, which remains privileged by families.

Carried by a careful realization of Laure de Butler and the actors invested, without ever falling into sensationalism, 37 secondsalready available for a few days on the Arte.TV platform, pays a good tribute to the missing from Bugaled Breizh. At the time of unbridled conspiracy, she also manages to ask the right questions, without providing definitive answers. A way to maintain the suspense for fiction and push the spectator to question the facts.
