(Finance) – The offers from the Boeing to avert the strike called by the group’s more than 30,000 employees. The proposed union agreement on the renewal of the labor contract was rejected by 95% of the aircraft manufacturer’s employees.
The proposal included a 25 percent pay increase through 2027, a $3,000 bonus, and a commitment to build the new commercial airplane Boeing wants to start flying by 2028 at the Seattle facility. Employees were asking for a 40 percent pay increase.
