The police have drawn up a list of over 300 potential rapists, something like Echo be the first to tell.
The purpose of the list is to prevent crime and the hope is to find rape suspects more easily.

The police have drawn up a list of over 300 potential rapists across the country who have either been convicted or are suspected of at least two rapes against two different victims.
– We have made that list because it gives us an insight. Partly in what looks like when it comes to serial crimes in the rape sphere.
But also where we can work proactively and preventively against these individuals and not just wait for crimes to be committed, says Jale Poljarevius, head of Operation Beta at the Police.

All seven police regions will now be able to use the list of potential serial rapists.
– To just wait until new victims of crime are created and then try to investigate all the crimes in a rush, it will be a lot of work. It is very important. In addition, it has, purely humanistically, a value for the victims of crime.
The list is used to prevent crime, including through outreach activities where the police offer calls and information. The hope is also to find rape suspects more easily
– The hidden crime in this type of category of violence is well over 90 percent, which never comes to the attention of the police and other authorities due to various circumstances. Therefore, it is extremely important that you work with this. It affects such large parts of our population.
