300-kilogram rock overturned apprentice – Serneke must be fined

There was a gust of wind when lifting a 300 kilogram boulder. Next to him stood an apprentice who at the time had no work assignment. The wind caused the boulder to topple over the apprentice’s leg, causing two broken bones.

The National Agency for the Environment and Work Environment believes that the accident could have been avoided and that Serneke “did not sufficiently clarify the responsibility for the protective devices that could be suitable during the execution of the work.”

Serneke must therefore be fined SEK 150,000.
