Up to 300 cars are currently stuck in the snow chaos on the E22 near Hörby.

Now the defense is sending tracked vehicles to help with evacuation.

There is major traffic chaos on the E22. The queues have been long throughout the day.

Worst affected is the section between Ekerödsrasten and Hörby. Motorists have been stuck there since this morning.

Shortly before 20, the police announced that there may be up to 300 cars that are still stuck.

Even police cars have been stuck for several hours.

The police, emergency services, Hörby municipality and the Swedish Armed Forces are now organizing the evacuation of the motorists. Tracked wagons have been called in.

“The police urge everyone to stay in their cars and wait for help. Expect the operation to take a number of hours,” the police write on their website.

At the same time, the police urge truck drivers throughout Scania not to go out on the roads during the evening and night.

  • A bus has run off the road outside Ystad. The bus must lie in the ditch and the doors cannot be opened.

    About ten people will be on board. No people are reported to have been injured. A replacement bus is on its way to the site.

  • Stop on E4 – truck has driven off the road

    It is currently at a standstill on the E4 after a truck went off the road at Höganäsbacken south of Härnösand.

    The truck is loaded with paper rolls that must be lifted off before the truck can be recovered, reports say P4 Västernorrland.

    A truck has driven off the E6E20 road north of Hyllinge in a northbound direction, the police write on their website.

    Police and emergency services are on their way to the scene.

    – We have just arrived at the scene and are taking stock of the damage. The rescue service closes the road in the northbound direction, says Jimmy Olsson, officer on duty at the Skåne Northwest rescue service.

  • Ferry circulates around

    The Crown Seaways ferry will not arrive at its final destination Copenhagen. The reason is that the winds are too strong to dock in the port, reports HD.

    Around 900 passengers are on board the ships.
