A 42-year-old man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for helping the man who opened fire at a Christmas market in Strasbourg in France in 2018, killing five people.
According to prosecutors, it was the 42-year-old who helped the perpetrator, Cherif Chekatt, to get hold of a weapon before the attack. Chekatt was shot dead when he was about to be arrested by police two days after the crime.
Three more people have been charged with aiding and abetting the crime.
