SJ’s payments to the customers who paid higher prices as a result of the booking chaos at the release of the Christmas tickets have begun this week – and according to the company, around 30 percent of the tickets were priced too high, Dagens Nyheter reports.
SJ’s website crashed when the tickets were released last week. In addition, the prices were gradually raised and many had to pay a higher price than what they were initially offered.
There is no need to contact SJ to get money back, and the company estimates that everyone will have received their compensation within the time frame previously promised.
– We promised that this would be ready before Christmas when we presented the compensation decision and it looks like we will be able to keep it, says SJ’s press manager Tobbe Lundell to the newspaper.
The refund applies to trips purchased between 9 and 10 November.
