Several ambulances arrived on Hanoidreef to treat residents who had inhaled smoke. The fire on Hanoidreef had started in a waste container. The smoke spread through the stairwell. “When people opened their doors, the smoke also came into the apartments,” says a spokesman for the fire service. All residents have been checked by fire and ambulance personnel. One person was taken to hospital after smoke inhalation.
