3 things that are really worth it this weekend

In Pokémon GO you can grab a new Pokémon and win lots of stardust this weekend. We’ll show you what’s on on Saturday and Sunday here.

As usual, February also brings some events in Pokémon GO. Among other things, they have useful bonuses or new Pokémon for your Pokédex in their luggage.

This weekend, Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th February, three of these events will be active. Accordingly, it is worth taking a look at the game at the weekend.

We’ll show you what you can do in Pokémon GO over the weekend.

1. Get Stardust at GO Battle Day

What kind of event is this? The fight day starts on Saturday, February 10th at 00:00 a.m. and ends at 11:59 p.m. – so it runs the entire day.

The event relies entirely on the GO battle league. In duels against other trainers you can get four times the stardust per victory. Just keep in mind that the quadruple bonus does not count towards the reward at the end of a combat set.

Additionally, the combat set limit will be increased from 5 to 20. This means you can play 100 matches. So there are plenty of opportunities to collect stardust and rise in rank. In addition, temporary research will be unlocked for combat, which will bring you items and XP.

You can compete in the master league and the development cup of the super league. So, if you need stardust, prepare your combat teams.

2. Grab Hisui-Silvarro

What kind of event is this? While Saturday is the day for fighters, Sunday is the day for collectors: That’s when the Hisui variant of Silvarro makes its debut in Pokémon GO.

You’ll meet him at Raid Day, which runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on February 11th. It is still unclear when the monster will return afterwards. So if you want the Pokédex entry, you should try the level 3 raids. Hisui-Silvarro should be beatable alone or in pairs.

The good thing: On Raid Day you will receive up to five free Raid Passes from Arenas and PokéStops, whenever you have completed the last one. You can find our guide to the raid day with Hisui-Silvarro here.

3. Use the last two days of Lunar New Year: Dragons Unleashed

What kind of event is this? The Lunar New Year event started on February 5th, but not with all the bonuses. First we had to solve a global challenge that required a billion good throws. The remaining bonuses have been active since Thursday, February 8th and can be used until February 11th, i.e. Sunday.

This includes wild dragon spawns as well as special attacks for some of the monsters in the event. You can read about which attacks you shouldn’t miss here.

Anyone who hasn’t been able to take part in the Lunar New Year event yet because they didn’t have enough time, the weather was bad or simply weren’t convinced by the bonuses before the challenge now has time to take advantage of the event. You should grab the dragon Pokémon Sen-Long, which debuted in the event, before it disappears again. We’ll show you where you can find Sen-Long here.
