What games are they about? You can currently grab the Borderlands Legendary Collection in the PlayStation Store. This includes 3 entire games: Borderlands, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands Pre-Sequel. The loot shooters are considered by many fans to be the best in the genre.
The offer also comes at a good time, as a new part of the series, Borderlands 4, was recently announced. This is scheduled to appear in 2025 and the Legendary Collection is the perfect way to catch up on the series.

What kind of games are these? All of these games were originally released for PS3 and Xbox 360. In the Legendary Collection, the games were later released in a revised version for modern consoles. The games are perfect for co-op with up to 3 friends and can even be played in split screen.
The big feature of the series is the comic style and the crude humor, which unfortunately didn’t work in the Borderlands film. The big focus of the game is of course looting and leveling. For shootouts with all sorts of enemies and creatures, you can choose from an almost infinite number of weapons that you can get from enemies, chests or bosses.
In all parts you choose a class that is equipped with an ability and 3 skill trees. Based on this, you can then build builds from various types of weapons or weapon elements such as fire or acid. There are also some pretty bizarre weapons, such as talking or shooting swords instead of bullets.
As silly as the weapons and characters are, so are the side quests that regularly throw you into pretty bizarre situations. Sometimes you have to fight a parody of the Ninja Turtles or organize a terrible birthday party for an annoying robot.

How much playing time do the games offer? If you look at the average playing time of the games on HowLongToBeat, the main quests take almost 70 hours. But this doesn’t take into account the countless DLCs and post-story content that you get in the collection. If you want to play the games thoroughly, you can easily invest 300 hours.
How long is the offer valid? In the PSN Store you can get the Legendary Collection with Borderlands 1, 2 and Pre-Sequel until November 7th, 2024 for €9.99. All DLCs from the 3 games are included except for the Commander Lilith DLC for Borderlands 2.
