Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate teams received information that a person in the city had a Bible, which is considered to be a historical artifact, within the scope of their efforts to combat historical artifact smuggling.
During the operation carried out as a result of approximately 6 months of technical and physical follow-up, the teams seized 3 Bible books, which are considered to be 1000 years old, in the vehicle in which Y.K.
The gendarmerie proceedings against the detained suspect are continuing.
It was learned that the books, which are historical artifacts and preserved by the gendarmerie teams, will be delivered to the Ankara Anatolian Civilizations Museum Directorate. (AA)
