29 dead in protests in Sierra Leone
At least 21 civilians and eight police officers have been killed in protests in Sierra Leone on Wednesday, reports say CNN.
The data on the dead policemen comes from the country’s youth minister, while the number of civilian casualties comes from Reuters hospital sources around the West African country.
The demonstrators in, among other places, the capital Freetown, have protested against inflation and increased living costs. In some places there were violent clashes with security forces.
