At least 27 migrants have been found dead in the water off the coast of southern Italy after the boat they were traveling in sank, Italian media reports.
According to information to the public service company, more than 100 people must have been on the ship and the coast guard is said to have an ongoing rescue operation where they are looking for survivors.
