250 suspected sex buyers in big brothel mess

— It is difficult to find something to compare with. It’s a big case, it is, says prosecutor Emelie Månsson to the newspaper.

The police raided a massage parlor at the end of March. The woman who owned it was abroad at the time, but was arrested when she returned to Sweden in early June. She was then arrested on suspicion of aggravated prostitution.

– We have said that we expect to be able to bring charges in December and so far we are sticking to that plan, says Emelie Månsson.

Of the approximately 250 suspected sex buyers, the Public Prosecutor’s Office handles 50 people and the police the rest.

So far, at least four men have admitted to buying sex and accepted criminal sentences. Another man has been charged.
