A 25-year-old man has been arrested for involvement in the murder of a 15-year-old boy who was shot dead in Skogås south of Stockholm at the end of January.

The man is suspected of having ordered the murder, which took place inside a restaurant.

– The suspicion is that he is the instigator of the murder, says prosecutor Ida Arnell.

The 25-year-old was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of incitement to murder.

It was on Saturday 28 January this year that the 15-year-old murder victim was shot inside a restaurant in the center of Skogå, south of Stockholm. The boy was taken to hospital but his life could not be saved.

The 25-year-old was also arrested for incitement to kidnapping and incitement to attempted murder, allegedly committed between the end of March and the beginning of April in the Stockholm area.

– He denies crime. The police have simply taken the wrong person and hopefully it will be cleared up shortly, says the man’s defender Kristofer Stahre to TT.

Since before, several other people have been detained in the case, including a now 16-year-old boy who is suspected of having carried out the shooting. The boy has denied wrongdoing.

Among those detained in the same case is also a 20-year-old man who was sentenced last week to 18 years in prison for having ordered boys to commit serious violent crimes three days in a row in southern Stockholm in January this year.

The 20-year-old is in custody in the case for involvement in murder in Skogås and other places in Stockholm in January.
