“At the moment there is a difference in what schools can offer in terms of extra activities,” says KSU chairman Tjeerd de Jong. To counter this, KSU is working behind the scenes on a new approach, which should structurally combat inequality. Nothing will change for the 7,500 students of the 25 primary schools until January 1, despite the fact that no voluntary parental contribution will be requested until then. “All extra activities at primary schools will continue for all children.”
