Colombian authorities have, in a coordinated operation with 61 other countries, seized a total of 1,400 tons of narcotics that were transported in so-called “drug boats”, reports The Guardian.

The submarines were traveling along a new route towards Australia and among the strikes, 225 tons of cocaine were found, which is the largest amount so far for a single operation.

More than 400 people were arrested in connection with the operation, in which, among others, the USA, the EU and Australia participated.
