22 people killed in missile attack on Ukrainian city far

Ukrainian authorities announced that 22 people, including three children, were killed in a remote city in the east of the country as a result of the attack of Russian missiles.

It was stated that 100 people were injured in the attack in Vinnytsia, southwest of the capital Kiev, which is far away from the ongoing clashes in Donbas.

In the attack, three Russian missiles hit an apartment building and damaged residential buildings.

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky described the attack as “a clear act of terrorism”.

Ukrainian authorities announced that the missiles hit the parking lot of the nine-story office building. Residential buildings in the city of 370,000 people were also damaged.

The Russian Defense Ministry, which denies targeting civilians, has not yet made a statement.

The Presidency of Ukraine announced that the attack was carried out with Kalibr guided missiles fired from a submarine in the Black Sea.

“There’s probably no chance of finding any survivors,” a senior rescue official told Ukrainian television.

Zelenski said in a statement on social media, “Every day, Russia kills civilians, Ukrainian children, launches missile attacks on civilian facilities where there are no military targets. If this is not an outright terrorist act, what is?” used the phrases.

The attack was preceded by a conference of EU Foreign and Justice Ministers in The Hague on Russian war crimes allegations.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dimitro Kuleba accused Russia of committing “another war crime” in Vinnintsya.

“We will prosecute Russian war criminals for every drop of blood and sweat shed by Ukrainians,” Kuleba said.
