The streamer Rani “StableRonaldo” Netz (21) is making a big announcement for Christmas. He wants to pay his Twitch viewers back all the money they gave him over the course of the year through Twitch subscriptions. He wants to give something back. But that’s a huge sum of over a million US dollars for the streamer and fans are skeptical.
This is what StableRonaldo said: The successful streamer too Fortnite says in a Twitch stream from December 25th. (via x):
StableRonaldo is one of the young streamers who made a lot of money with Fortnite on Twitch and used the money to buy a Lamborghini:
Streamer wants to pay fans back over a million US dollars
How much money is involved? Stable Ronaldo is a successful Fortnite streamer who currently has 30,000 subs. If you extrapolate this over the year and approach it conservatively, you can assume 300,000 subs that he received from fans in 2024.
If you calculate that 70% of this income goes into StableRonaldo’s pocket, the result is a huge sum.
That would be about $1.05 million for StableRonaldo to pay back. The Twitch share is another $450,000.
Fans doubt the streamer’s gesture
What’s the problem? The whole action immediately raises a few questions:
StableRonaldo only receives a share of the money that a viewer spends who leaves him a subscription on Twitch: a percentage also goes to Twitch and taxes have to be paid on all the money. In order to give viewers their money back, he would have to spend much more than he received.
How does he plan to determine how much each viewer has donated to him? He says he installed a bot at the beginning of December, but its data doesn’t go back to the beginning of 2024.
Where does he want to get the viewers’ account information? How does he technically plan to give people their money back?
You don’t joke with gifts like this
This is the suspicion: The 21-year-old StableRonaldo has a bit of a reputation as someone who will do a lot to get attention. That’s why many people on
His last “subathon” ended after just a few minutes because no one subscribed. A serious blow for the streamer who is used to success.
But it would be very problematic if he simply promised something and didn’t keep it. Such behavior would likely reflect negatively on his clan, FaZe Clan. If that were a lie, he would never be believed again.
And you don’t really joke with “Christmas presents” like that. In any case, it’s an exciting topic to see how this will continue to develop and whether stable Ronaldo will follow his words with actions.
What would be a possibility? One possibility would be that StableRonaldo expressed himself unhappily and is not concerned with the whole year, but only with subs that came in in December 2024 – from the time he installed the bot. That would be a manageable sum and a generous gesture.
