2023 Mercedes-AMG C63 S; 680 PS from the four-cylinder engine

2022 Peugeot 408 Sedan foreign prices announced

Bringing significant mechanical and infrastructure changes, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C63 S carries a reference engine under its hood.

With the transition period to electricity, the narrowing intervals of the emission rules are moving in parallel to a large extent. This situation forms the basis of the transition from large-volume engines to more compact units, as we see more often now. Another example of the process that also affects super sports brands is the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C63 S. We will now see the product range, which was the heart of the eight-cylinder engine in its previous generation, with a four-cylinder machine. This can initially create a negative atmosphere in the ears. Mercedes, on the other hand, is quite ambitious in dispersing the clouds of doubt with the world’s most powerful four-cylinder engine developed in series production qualities. The fact that the 2.0-liter engine, together with the electrical support, reaches the limits of 680 PS, reveals a curious experience on the performance side. On the transmission side, 9-stage AMG automatic users will be waiting.

2023 Mercedes-AMG C63 S

When we look at all the parts in detail, we can see that we are not strangers to the engine that comes on the C63 S. The same engine is used in the C43 and Roadster model SL43, which were introduced last April. However, although the cake base here is the same, there are important differences in the materials used inside. There’s a bigger turbocharger, a lower compression ratio, and new parts like 400V electric boost, along with higher power and a lower turbo lag experience. When we put all these improvements together with the support of the powerful electric motor (204 PS) positioned on the rear axle, a truly dreamy combination emerges in such a volume of 680 PS of power and 1,020 Nm of torque. The car, which surpassed the V8-engined version of the previous generation by almost 180 horsepower, is approaching the limits of the M5 rather than its rival M3. The maximum speed of the car, which completes its acceleration from 0 to 100 in 3.4 seconds, becomes official as 250 km / h.

There are also very serious changes and firsts in the infrastructure of the car. For the first time, we will see dynamics such as all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering as standard in the C63. With the changes made between the driving modes, the new generation, which can be used in different characters, will also be able to proceed completely electric thanks to its rechargeable hybrid structure. The car, which can go up to 125 km / h in electric driving mode, will be able to offer a range not exceeding 15 kilometers due to the use of a compact battery on the range side.

Another side where electronics shows itself in infrastructure is in the lock. The electronic limited-slip differential lock comes completely exclusive to this package, as does the carbon ceramic brake system, air ducted body panels that provide cooling management, and the hood. One of the points that attracted our attention in the new generation was the weight value. There is a weight of 2,111 kilograms that will make the previous generation feel seriously light. The high-capacity electric motor and batteries, along with the standard 4×4 system, have a significant impact here. Prices for the Mercedes-AMG C63 S, which can be preferred with the SW body type besides the sedan, will be announced in the coming days.
