Announced based in Japan, 2022 Subaru Forester STi Sport will be particularly ambitious in terms of driving experience.
Celebrating the New Year by bringing the facelifted Forester to the European market as of January, Subaru continues to touch on the flagship of the family. The brand, which is currently on our agenda with its first electric model, Solterra, announced a pleasant version based in Japan. Convinced that it is not enough to raise our heart rate with the STi badge, the Subaru team adds Sport alongside this badge and reveals a remarkable package over the Forester. Although the 2022 Subaru Forester STi Sport version does not have any improvement on a numerical basis, it turns the face of the vehicle to the sporty wing with the touches made on the design and suspension side.

With the version that will be sold exclusively for Japan for now, the changes that we can easily notice in the body panels of the Forester welcome us. In addition to the touches on body panels such as bumper, side skirt, spoiler and diffuser, the 18-inch wheel set is remarkable at first glance. The mirrors, which come in black, unlike the body color, complement the other touches made to the vehicle.

When we move to the cockpit side, seats with the STi logo greet us, while the use of nappa leather upholstery at every point is effective in raising the perception of quality as well as sportiness. There are also changes on the invisible side with the STi Sport. Emphasizing that changes have been made in the suspensions that allow the vehicle to give clearer responses in performance driving, Subaru promises an assertive driving experience that can be compared to passenger models. Under the hood of Subaru Forester STi Sport, we continue to see the 1.8-liter engine with 177 PS power and 300 Nm torque. At this stage, no plan has been shared regarding the reflection of the model, which is planned to start sales in Japan with August, to the European market.
