The 2022 MG7, which attracted great attention with its first details, will be the first member of the new series that the brand blends with premium qualities.
With the “Cyberster” project, MG is preparing to carry the success of the Roadster it achieved in the past to today’s world. The expansion in the product range of the British brand, which we are gradually seeing more and more in Turkey, continues due to the formation process in the new period. The 2022 MG7, which we shared with you the first official details in the past days, has been introduced with all its parts as of today. With its fastback design lines and dynamics that wink at premiums, the model, which started to be talked about as the “affordable Audi A5” from the first moment, will support this with its cockpit qualities as far as we can see. The family, which will be sold with a focus on China, will also sit at the top of MG’s product range in the region.

2022 MG7 will be the first member of the new series
Launched as the first member of MG’s premium-oriented product range, which it calls the “Black Label Series”, the car carries a badge that we will see on the streets for the first time. After the model range produced between 2007 and 2013, we can say that we will encounter the second generation of this vehicle in a sense. It is possible to say that the new MG7, which has a length of 4,884 millimeters, a width of 1,889 millimeters and a height of 1,447 millimeters, is relatively larger than the reference A5. Complementing the striking design lines on the exterior of the vehicle, on the cockpit side, will be modern equipment. The digital driver and multimedia screen, which comes in 33 inches in a single frame, draws attention here. The gear design on the car’s center console is also on the lines that refer to premium vehicles.

Under the hood of the new MG7, only gasoline engines will be available in the first stage. The 1.5-liter engine, positioned at the entry level, comes with 185 PS power and 300 Nm torque. As standard in this version, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission transfers power from the front wheel to the ground. The second option is the 2.0-liter turbo petrol machine. A 9-stage ZF gearbox is standard in this engine, which offers 257 PS power and 405 Nm torque. The inclusion of infrastructure elements such as the electronic suspension system and limited slip differential in the MG7 is also a very serious weapon in terms of driving experience. It is not clear for now whether the MG7, which is also planned to have a rechargeable hybrid engine version, will come to the European market in the next year. The prices of the vehicle will also be announced towards the last quarter of the year.
