The 2022 Kia Sportage, whose sales began in Turkey with February, comes out with two different hardware options.
One of the important introductions for 2021 for Kia was the new generation of Sportage. The fifth generation, whose European version was launched in September 2021, after the launch in America, managed to attract attention with its design evolution, which did not fall behind its cousin Tucson. The product range, which has been on sale in Europe for a while, takes its place on the lists in Turkey as of February. 2022 Kia Sportage, which entered the market with a single engine and two different trim levels, has a starting price of 829,900 TL.

With a total length of 4,509 millimeters, the new Sportage will be almost the same as the Tucson, which comes with a length of 4,500 millimeters. The model, which promises a luggage volume of 591 liters as standard, shows flexibility up to 1,780 liters when the seats are passive. For reference, when we look at Tucson in this section, we see that 598 liters of luggage volume is offered. It should not be overlooked that these values are 10 millimeters better at 30 millimeters in length and 10 millimeters in axle distance compared to the previous generation. On the luggage volume side, there is an increase of 10 percent compared to the old Sportage.
Under the hood of the European versions of the vehicle, the diesel engine is also on the list, as well as the rechargeable hybrid and mild hybrid option. The 1.6-liter engine currently offered in Turkey comes with a mild-hybrid-based 150 PS power and 250 Nm torque. With this engine, the model, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 in 9.6 seconds, can reach the maximum speed of 189 km / h. The new Sportage, which will be offered for sale with a diesel engine and the entry-level Cool equipment package in the upcoming period, includes equipment that meets current expectations with the two packages currently available.
