The 2022 Kia Niro, which entered the Turkish lists with its hybrid and fully electric versions, will play an important role in increasing the post-Sportage effect.
The EV6, which crowned the brand success in the recent periods by being selected as the Car of the Year in Europe, helped Kia’s claim to be positioned higher in the upcoming period. Niro, another expected name of the South Korean manufacturer, which continues to expand its product range with the EV6, which has been on sale in Turkey for a while, is now on the list. The 2022 Kia Niro, whose prices in Turkey were announced in two different versions as of August, can be preferred over the hybrid and fully electric engine option.
2022 Kia Niro price list
The prices shared by Kia with the month of August are as follows;
New Niro Hybrid 1.6L 141 PS DCT – Hybrid – Prestige – 1.199.900 TL
New Niro EV – 204 PS Automatic – Electric – Prestige – 1.399.000 TL
Technical details from the new generation
Dimensions come at the beginning of the points where the Niro family has been moved one layer higher than the previous generation. The model, which has become official with a length of 4,420 millimeters, a width of 1,825 millimeters and a height of 1,545 millimeters, has serious improvements in all three points. According to the data shared by Kia, a car 64 millimeters longer, 20 millimeters wider and 10 millimeters higher awaits us. These improvements, which we think will make itself felt on the exterior, do not have much effect on the trunk side. With an increase of 15 liters, a total of 451 liters of usable space is offered, among the main reasons for the gain here is the positioning of the battery under the rear seats instead of the trunk. When we look at the cockpit details of the vehicle, it immediately draws attention that the dynamics of the EV6, which made a sound with its introduction, are largely located here. Along with a 10.25-inch digital drive and multimedia display, a 10-inch head-up display is on the hardware list. The gear selector and other elements in the console design also allow a simple and modern living space.
We see that the 1.6-liter gasoline engine is in the center of the hybrid version of the Niro, which is offered for sale in Turkey. With the support of the electric motor, this version, which has 141 horsepower and 265 Nm torque in combination, completes its acceleration from 0 to 100 in 10.8 seconds. The maximum speed it can reach is 162 km/h, and the hybrid model, which is reflected in the technical table, stands out with its average fuel consumption of 4.4 liters. The electric version of the Niro has an engine that can deliver 204 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque. The maximum speed for the Niro EV, which can reach 0 to 100 in 7.8 seconds with this unit, is limited to 167 km/h. Since it is an electric model, the range side is also vitally important. For the electric Niro, where the 64 kWh battery is positioned as standard, a range value of 460 kilometers in WLTP standards is reflected in the table. With this battery, which can reach from 10 percent to 80 percent full charge in 65 minutes with 50kW fast charging, the same value can be achieved in 45 minutes over a 100kW source.
