A tractor with a truck trailer has driven off the road in Skåne’s Skurup.
On the trailer were 200 live turkeys.
– They are still on the trailer, says Mattias Cederblad, commanding officer of the rescue service.
At 11:18, the emergency services were alerted that a tractor with a truck trailer had driven off the road and ended up in the ditch in Skurup, Scania.
– A tractor has driven into the ditch and is standing there at an angle. We are there to see if we need support, says Mattias Cederblad, commanding officer of the rescue service.
Police have also gone to the scene. The emergency services state that there is a concern that the tractor will overturn.
On board the tractor trailer are 200 turkeys.
– They are still on the trailer. We have not invited a veterinarian. We are trying to talk to the company about trying to move the turkeys, says Mattias Cederblad.
The turkeys were on their way to the slaughterhouse when the accident occurred.
The driver is said to have escaped uninjured.
