The helicopter carrying Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi and his accompanying delegation crashed on their return from a trip to Azerbaijan. While Iran immediately declared an emergency, search and rescue efforts were difficult due to adverse weather conditions.
IRAN ASKED FOR HELP FROM TURKEY
Upon Iran’s request, Turkey sent Akıncı UAV and a night vision Cougar type helicopter for search operations.
A few hours after Akıncı UAV took office in Iranian airspace, it detected a heat source that was thought to be the wreckage of the helicopter carrying the President of Iran and shared its coordinates with the Iranian authorities.
Akıncı UAV attracted great attention around the world from the very beginning of its flight.
According to the FlightRadar24 application, more than 200 thousand people followed the circular movements of the Akıncı UAV in the skies of Iran.
The wreckage of the helicopter was found in the morning.
