PCR testing every day for the next three days has been made mandatory for everyone in Beijing.
In Beijing and Shanghai, it was stipulated that people who entered and exited buildings with people infected with the coronavirus were required to enter quarantine, even if their tests were negative.
Large quarantine centers were also established in the city to meet the demands of international travelers.
China continues to implement a zero Covid policy despite criticism that this is unsustainable.
Although the number of cases in Beijing is low when compared to international figures, it is considered high when it is hit across the country.
MOST CASE SPREAD FROM A SINGLE BAR
The latest wave of epidemics is thought to have spread from Heaven Supermarket Bar in Sanlitun, the entertainment center of the Chaoyang district.
Heavy quarantine measures were taken after one person tested positive for coronavirus in two buildings in the neighborhood, where hundreds of people live.
It is also stated that people who went to have fun in Sanlitun in Beijing recently received phone messages to see the authorities.
It has been announced that the schools of the children studying in the capital are also on holiday, and the schools that are supposed to start education this week will remain closed.
Nearly 2,000 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Beijing since April 22.
