Despite great advance praise, The Flash received a resounding slap in the face at the box office in June. Hardly anyone wanted to see DC’s superhero film. For fans of the old Justice League world of Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Henry Cavill, the time travel film is still an event.
You can buy The Flash now on 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray or DVD. Digital rental and purchase options are also available. We’ll give you the overview.

The Flash is the unofficial conclusion of the old DC Universe: That’s what it’s all about
After his first Justice League adventure, Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is frustrated that as The Flash he is only ever called to clean up after Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck). What annoys him even more, however, is his powerlessness: Although he can move at lightning speed as a superhero, he is light years too late to save the life of his mother Nora (Maribel Verdú) and prevent the conviction of his father Henry (Ron Livingston). When he realizes that he can travel back in time thanks to his abilities, Barry makes a big attempt – and ends up in another dimension.
The Flash was in the works for nine years. The CGI-heavy production consumed a horrendous budget of $200 million. Several DC stars, including Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Michael Keaton, returned to their old roles. The Flash was supposed to be a final climax and usher in a new era. Ultimately, the film grossed just under $270 million worldwide and became one of the biggest superhero failures in recent history.
From the old DC, only Aquaman 2 will be released in December, which was originally supposed to come to theaters much earlier. Then a new chapter begins under the direction of James Gunn.
