The death toll rises after this morning’s attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza. The death toll is now estimated to have increased to 210, reports Hamas-controlled authorities via Al Jazeera.
Earlier in the day, the IDF announced that intensive attacks were carried out in Dayr al-Balah and other locations in the central Gaza Strip. The liberation operation is said to have involved hundreds of soldiers and took place in two different locations in connection with the offensive in Nuseirat, just northeast of Dayr al-Balah.
Over 200 Palestinians killed
According to initial reports, 93 people were killed, but the number has now risen to over 210 Palestinians, several news agencies report, citing the Hamas-controlled health authority in Gaza. In addition to those killed, 400 people are said to be injured, according to the statement.
