200 boats compete in Gotland Runt – see the rainy start

Gotland Runt has been organized by the Royal Swedish Sailing Society (KSSS) since 1937.

At the moment, the sailing company rents Vasahamnen, but in the future KSSS hopes to be able to get its own quay to run the business in the middle of Stockholm.

– Junibacken is what we are looking at. That we can put a harbor facility there that is permanent, where we can create activities all year round, says Stefan Rahm, club director for KSSS.

He believes that KSSS has the opportunity to finance it themselves.

– I think it costs around 20 million to build a port like this.
