The Luxembourg “LetsHugo” (20) became one of the largest in 2023 German-speaking Streamer on Twitch. In a stream he opened Christmas presents from his fans, but not all viewers were well-intentioned with him: there was a nasty surprise hidden in one of the presents.
What kind of situation was that? In a Christmas-themed stream on December 26, 2023, LetsHugo opened gifts he received from his viewers. A small wooden box was hidden in a gift.
When the streamer opened the box, a mechanism was triggered that caused a fake spider to pop out of the gift. LetsHugo shrieked loudly, his eyes rolled back and he seemed to lose consciousness for a moment.
After a few moments, the 20-year-old came to, summed up the events with a “What the fuck?” and checked his racing pulse.

Viewers debate whether the streamer is just acting
What is being discussed? Many viewers are divided over whether LetsHugo’s fainting spell is real or just an act. One fan writes in the chat that the streamer deserves an Oscar, while others quickly inquire about his well-being or admit that they were pretty scared themselves.
Here you can see the decisive moment:
Although LetsHugo is a German-speaking streamer, the clip made it to the international subreddit r/LivestreamFail, where it was also discussed extensively:
Other users didn’t spend long asking whether the fainting spell was real and were rather amused. One comment said that the streamer had probably been reset “to factory settings”.
Some viewers expressed concern. LetsHugo is known to have health problems, so fans are wondering whether the fainting could be a result of an underlying medical condition.
However, the Twitch streamer quickly recovered from the shock and continued his stream for another 3 hours.
There were similar discussions when Twitch streamer GingerBeardie collapsed motionless in the middle of the stream. When the streamer didn’t regain consciousness after several minutes, his viewers became a little uneasy.
