If you’re on Twitter, you’ve probably noticed: “Danny” has been trending in Germany since yesterday afternoon, July 18th.

That’s because his ex-girlfriend published a court verdict. According to this verdict, Danny is said to have been convicted of two counts of rape.

According to her own statements, she has now deleted the post because it was constantly being reported, it was too stressful for her and her lawyer advised her to delete it (via Twitter).

However, another Twitter user shared the photos again.

According to the documents, the following sentences were carried out:

  • Danny raped the 20-year-old twice and was found guilty of it.
  • He gets a youth sentence of 1 year and 6 months on probation.
  • The YouTuber must bear the costs of the entire process.
  • The post quickly made the rounds on Twitter. Twitch streamer Niekbeats and musician t-low came under fire in connection with the post.

    20-year-old felt defamed as a lying “psycho-ex”.

What was going on on Twitter? Streamer Niekbeats is currently under criticism for defending Danny at a time when he was already considered a potential perpetrator.

A Twitter user summarized how Vi was attacked by Twitch streamer Niekbeats. Vi writes: For years she had to listen to being the “psycho ex” who wanted to destroy Danny’s life. That weighed heavily on her.

Now the time has finally come: the verdict is here.

Streamer apologizes for his role in the discussion

Here’s how Niekbeats reacted to his role: A little later, Niekbeats released a statement in which he wrote that he took the side of all victims of sexual violence (via Twitter).

He is ashamed of his behavior and wants to act more carefully in the future (via Twitter).

How do Twitter users react to the execution? If you type “Niek” on Twitter, you’ll mostly find accusations and insults directed at the streamer (via Twitter). Twitter users are shocked and disappointed that they did not expect such statements (via Twitter). Only a few voices speak out for him, saying “we all make mistakes” (via Twitter).

In addition, many users demand a statement from t-low, who apparently spends a lot of time with Danny at the moment, as he appears in almost every YouTuber’s video. So far, however, the musician has held back.

Danny has not yet commented on the statements made by his ex-girlfriend either.

However, we have reached out to both Danny, t-low and Niekbeats for comment. If they comment on this, we will report on it.

    Who is Danny anyway?

The content creator has been a Twitch streamer since 2015 and used to mainly do gaming. Minecraft was the order of the day back then. He was live almost every day and usually recorded over 200 to 300 streams a year.

Later came the Steam hit Among Us and Fortnite. In 2021, his community continued to grow, partly because he kept starting something with the big German streamer Papaplatte.

Also, its content transitioned from mostly Minecraft, Fortnite, and Among Us to Just Chatting. He occasionally sprinkled in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario 64.

Since 2022, Danny has only streamed rarely and no longer regularly. Instead, he feeds his YouTube channel with content from t-low and his performances. There is almost nothing left of gaming at the moment.
