In summer, during periods of high heat or heat waves, we think we are adopting the right gestures, but very often we pick up bad habits. Here is a little guide to the mistakes not to make at home when it’s hot.
take a cold shower
Even if the urge is great to cool off with a cold shower, this is unfortunately counterproductive. At the time, it will do you good, but your body will not tolerate such a temperature difference and will warm up faster because it will struggle to maintain a body temperature of 37°C. Instead, take a hot or warm shower to regulate your body temperature. Tip: To cool down, splash your forearms and the back of your knees with cool, but not ice cold water.
