The first reports came in just after 6:00 this morning, the fire department initially scaled up but that turned out not to be necessary. A fire department spokesperson reports that the fire was quickly under control and extinguished. Due to the fire, two homes above the store had to be evacuated. One of the residents was checked by the ambulance because he had inhaled smoke. The resident did not have to go to the hospital.
