The man who in May shot dead ten people inside and outside a grocery store in Buffalo, New York pleads guilty.
More specifically, the now 19-year-old perpetrator admits to murder, murder as a hate crime and domestic terrorism. He also admits to attempted murder of three people.
This means he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
When asked by the judge if the 19-year-old killed each victim because of the color of their skin, he replied “yes”. His lawyers say he now regrets his actions.
Convinced of “white supremacy”
The perpetrator wore a helmet, body armor and camouflage clothing and was armed with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.
He was convinced of the “white supremacy” and was fueled by the belief in an extensive conspiracy theory that there is a conscious plan to replace white people with people of other ethnicities.
