18 year old sentenced for attempted murder threw activated hand grenade

An 18-year-old man has been sentenced despite his denial to ten years in prison for attempted murder, several media reports.

The incident occurred in early September. DNA traces at the scene were linked to the 18-year-old who was arrested.

“The perpetrator had no relationship with the family but acted on behalf of someone else. Via the Signal app, the person received instructions on how, when and where the crime was to be committed,” says Sanna Rehman at the police in the Stockholm region in a comment.

During the investigation, it turned out that a family member had been threatened that the family would be exposed to an explosion.
