18-year-old has a water leak during a professional match in Fortnite – colleague yells at him to keep playing

The German Twitch streamer and professional player Lennard “Rezon” Sill (18) has already earned €460,000 with Fortnite. At this level, you have to stay focused at all times, even when you’re up to your neck in water and you’re panicking a little, as Rezon has now discovered.

Who is this?

  • Rezon has almost 1 million followers on Twitch and has been streaming Fortnite almost exclusively since 2019. When he streams, he has 3,500 viewers. He is currently the biggest German Fortnite streamer, even ahead of Amar.
  • Rezon is a successful professional in Fortnite. He has earned around $510,000 in prize money, or just under €460,000. Most of it came in 2021, when he was only 14 years old.
  • His biggest success so far was 6th place in the 2021 FNCS All-Star Showdown, where he pocketed $60,000 in prize money. He has also consistently placed between 3rd and 7th in these online tournaments and has repeatedly collected prize money in the range of $20,000 to $60,000 (via esportsearnings).
  • Successful professionals in Fortnite are often very young:

Professional has water leaking through basement window in middle of match

So the water was up to his neck: During the end of a competitive round of Fortnite, Rezon jumped up and yelled, “Bro, the water is going through the window.”

He looks out of his basement window in increasing panic and apparently doesn’t know what to do. The 18-year-old seems to be overwhelmed by the situation.

Meanwhile, his colleague in Fortnite was constantly yelling that he should concentrate on Fortnite now and has no understanding of why Rezon is standing still in the game.

While Rezon screams: “Oh my God, help. I swear to God – basement flooded.”

Comes back from Fortnite annoyed: “Screw it, play!”

    “Leave and get ready!”

How was that from an in-game perspective? In addition to the TikTok video, there is also the Twitch recording, where you can see that the situation in the match was “actually calm”.

His colleague Wave Chap (“Leave and get ready!”) simply urged us to get to the next game as quickly as possible.

Why is he causing so much stress? The two are playing in a cash cup. Here you have 3 hours to complete up to 10 matches. Therefore, it makes sense to play through without interruption if possible.

The other player simply doesn’t seem to understand what’s going on with Rezon, or he doesn’t care at that moment.

    “Bro, focus on Fortnite!”

How is this commented on? Most of the comments are rather amused. The colleague’s reaction is viewed critically:

  • “Bro, focus on Fortnite!”
  • “He should distance himself from his “BRO” as soon as possible… sick people”
  • “How can the other person be so chill and stupid?”
  • “Edit window back”
  • The German Fortnite streamers exist largely outside the German Twitch scene and do their own thing.
