On Monday afternoon, May 23, the police were called to Bellmansplan. Moments later, a 25-year-old man was pronounced dead. He had been shot to death, and during the course of the investigation, the police became suspicious of a then 17-year-old boy.
The 17-year-old was later detained by the district court on probable cause on suspicion of murder and serious weapons offences.
The arrested had a motley background with fights at school and later placement in different types of homes. There, among other things, he had been guilty of gross arbitrary procedure and violence against an official.
Denies crime
Today, the suspect is 18 years old and on Thursday the indictment was filed against him at the Eskilstuna district court.
He is charged with murder and aggravated weapons offense – charges which he denied during questioning.
