Bloom4Eva preserves the memory of a deceased friend
What’s up with the player? Bloom4Eva entered the competitive Super Smash Bros scene in early 2019. In June, the then 13-year-old player placed 7th in his first tournament.
In an interview in September 2022, the Smash talent revealed his motivation: On the one hand, he plays Super Smash Bros. because he enjoys it, and on the other hand, to honor a deceased friend. He played under the name “Bloom” and had the goal of becoming the best Smash player of all time.
Bloom4Eva’s gamer tag is also a tribute to the deceased friend.
This is how it went for Bloom4Eva: Bloom4Eva achieved its first major successes in 2021. In April, the young player took 1st place at the Europe Qualifier and was then able to win four more tournaments.
2022 also started strong for the player as he won the English Invasion 2022 tournament, followed by several more victories. At Colossel 2022, the largest European Smash tournament to date, Bloom4Eva took a strong 4th place, making her the highest-placed European.
In 2022, Bloom4Eva made it to number 21 in the world rankings in ultimate, making her one of the best Europeans. In 2023, Bloom4Eva placed 1st in 6 tournaments, winning silver twice and bronze once. In total, the now 18-year-old player is said to have earned around $12,800 in prize money.
And currently? In 2024, things will be a little quieter around Bloom4Eva. Overall, the player took part in fewer tournaments and often only placed in double figures. However, this is not too surprising, because the player explained in an interview in 2022 that he would go to school 6 days a week in the future and would have less time for e-sports.
Back then, Bloom4Eva was probably only able to get off the ground because it was summer. The e-athlete’s goal is to one day become an author or psychologist in order to help other people, he said in the interview.
