According to information from the local fire service, the dead are believed to be illegal migrants.
The bodies were found near the Dadìa National Park, a region bordering Turkey where many migrants congregate, according to a fire service spokesman Yiannis Artopios.
The village of Avantas is located 10 kilometers north of the fire-ravaged port city of Alexandroupoli, where large fires are raging for the fourth day in a row.
