One of the leaders behind the plans to kidnap the governor of the state of Michigan, Democrat Gretchen Whitmer, is sentenced to 16 years in prison. The militia group’s plan was to create an armed conflict ahead of the disputed presidential election in 2020. The prosecutor had sought a life sentence for the terrorist crime.
