The police were alerted to a disturbance shortly after midnight on Sunday night. A 16-year-old boy with stab or cut injuries was taken to hospital, but his life could not be saved. Just over an hour after the alarm, a teenage boy was arrested and a while later another.
– The good police work that was done initially on the spot led us to two detainees, one of whom is still in custody, says Mattias Sigfridssonpolice area manager in northwestern Skåne.
The arrested boy comes from the area. At the moment, there are no suspicions of a connection to organized gang crime.
– We assess that those involved have local roots. There are no connections outside this geographical area or to other events, says Mattias Sigfridsson.
A large number of interrogations have been carried out.
– We are starting to get a pretty good picture of this event and what is behind it, but it is too early to say anything about it.
