It was during Thursday that the police received an alert that an elderly woman, in her 80s, had been assaulted and raped in her home in Dals-Ed.
At lunchtime the same day, the police arrested the suspected teenage boy, who was later arrested.
Held about twenty interrogations
The police are said to have held around 25 interviews with various people so far, and the interviews will continue on Sunday as well.
– Then I will make a new decision whether he should be detained, or released, says chief prosecutor Daniel Edsbagge.
It takes extraordinary reasons to have such a young person deprived of liberty, and those reasons are currently achieved, according to the prosecutor.
– He can stay, despite his young age, due to investigation reasons, that he can complicate the investigation before we have held the necessary interrogations.
