15-year-old boy seriously injured after knife cut

A 15-year-old boy was found seriously injured in Hammarby Sjöstad in southern Stockholm on Friday evening. He is said to have been stabbed several times and then left outside at the railway station.

The police were called to the scene shortly after eleven on Friday evening. They found a teenage boy badly cut with some kind of sharp object at the Luma cross-rail station in Hammarby Sjöstad.

We received an alert from a private individual about an injured young man. Several members of the public started with first aid, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police.

Stung with a sharp object

According to information to Aftonbladet, a doctor was on the scene within a few minutes, and the boy could be taken to hospital by ambulance shortly afterwards.

The police are investigating the incident as attempted murder.

– Something sharp has been used, could be a knife but could also be something else, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.

Great search effort – no arrests

During the evening and night, the police carried out a large search operation, looking for witnesses at the scene and surveillance footage that may have captured some part of the sequence of events.

No person has yet been arrested in the case, the police announced at 09.30 on Saturday.
