In September 2024, a man stabbed a woman repeatedly in close proximity to their common home.
The man also distributed blows to the woman. The abuse resulted in the woman suffering serious injuries.
Honorary motifs provided long prison sentence
The Court took into account that a motive for the crime may have been to “preserve or restore the family’s honor”, which led to a long prison sentence.
The man has now been sentenced to 13 years in prison and he will also pay SEK 325,000 in damages to the woman.
