In connection with Thursday’s snowfall, there was a series collision with 13 cars on a stretch between Timrå and Härnösand.
The traffic, which has been at a complete standstill, is expected to start rolling again at 7 p.m.
A total of 13 cars are involved in a series collision on the E4 between Timrå and Härnösand. The accident must have occurred on Thursday afternoon.
– Initially, it was a car that drove into the guardrail, then several cars came behind. Some have had to wade out into the ditch and some have crashed into each other. A total of 13 cars are involved in a stretch of 400 metres, says duty officer Jonas Hägglund.
The snow that has fallen is an underlying cause of the accident-stricken stretch.
– There are no higher speeds on this stretch, but you have to adjust the speed to the road conditions, says Hägglund.
The accident causes major traffic problems and long traffic jams between Timrå and Härnösand, with a total standstill in the northbound direction. The forecast is that the traffic will roll again at 19:00.
– Hopefully, the traffic jam will be resolved when we have recovered all the cars, says Jonas Hägglund.
