Unlike the CU4K30, the new TUF Gaming Capture Box-FHD120 is designed to capture 1080p video at a smooth 120 frames per second. Thus, users can offer higher frame rate images to their viewers. The FHD120 handles downscaling and upscaling (up to 1080p) with its built-in hardware-based scaler. In this way, there is no need for manual image adjustment with the software. After users choose the resolution they want in OBS, TUF Capture Box takes care of the rest. For HDMI pass-through, 4K at 60 Hz or 1080p at 120 Hz is supported. TUF Capture Box-FHD120 has two HDMI 2.0 connections, one input and one output. The product also has a USB Type-C® port. Like the CU4K30, the FHD120 also features USB Video Class (UVC). Users can plug the device directly into a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and start streaming unprocessed and uncompressed video for the highest quality streaming with no drivers or tools required. Headphones and game controllers can be connected to the two 3.5 mm jacks on the front, respectively. The new ASUS Video Capture Console software also allows users to customize the FHD120 according to their preferences. From here you can adjust the input and headphone volume, disable HDCP detection, and control ARGB lighting. This lighting does not only make the device look stylish. Video Capture Console software can give HDCP or EDID warnings with the lights on the FHD120 and show which cables are connected or disconnected. The status light reports if the headset is not fully inserted or if the USB connection is 2.0 speed.
