A 12-year-old in Texas is charged with murder after a shooting at a fast-food restaurant.
According to the police, the boy used an AR-15 semi-automatic weapon.
– That a 12-year-old today has access to a gun and kills someone. It breaks my heart, says witness Dylan Elliott.
Last Saturday night there was a shooting in Keene in central Texas. It all started with an argument between an employee of a fast food restaurant and a 20-year-old.
The employee, Matthew Davis, allegedly confronted the 20-year-old for urinating in the back of the restaurant.
– The argument quickly turned physical, says a spokesperson for the police in Keene.
Then the 20-year-old, together with a 12-year-old, went to the car to get a weapon of the mentioned AR-15 model. The 12-year-old then, according to the police, shot Matthew Davis with six shots before they both fled the scene.
Witness: “Heard a bunch of shots”
– I was outside. My fiance ran into the house and I heard a bunch of shots,” said Dylan Elliott who heard the shooting.
Davis, who was the father of a son the same age as the suspected killer, was taken to hospital by air ambulance but later died of his injuries.

The 20-year-old murder suspect returned to the scene shortly after the shooting and was arrested by the police. The 12-year-old, on the other hand, was arrested just over two miles from the crime scene and is also charged with murder.
