10:19 PM: Two police investigations in Bilthoven

The police found a possible firearm in a car on the Planetenbaan in Bilthoven tonight. The vehicle was pulled over around 20:45. The forensic investigation then conducted an investigation. According to a press photographer, the driver was arrested.

5:17 PM: Woman (19) violently pulled from bicycle at night

A 19-year-old woman was violently attacked by a man during the night from Monday to Tuesday. The victim was cycling from the city centre towards Utrecht Science Park around 01:00. On the road to Science, she was violently pulled from her bike under the A27 viaduct. She managed to escape, but the man has not yet been found.

4:02 PM: TBS patient escapes on Jaarbeursplein during supervised leave

This afternoon, a TBS patient escaped from his supervisors at the Jaarbeursplein in Utrecht. The man was on supervised leave when he managed to escape. A special police investigation team immediately started a search, but the 31-year-old man was not found. The police urge people not to approach the man themselves.

In Maarssen, a man was assaulted on Sunday evening. This happened around 23:00 on the Harmonieplein, the police reports. The man was there with a friend when they got into an argument with a group of youths. The group assaulted the man and also took his fat bike.

11:50 am: Man dragged on hood after traffic dispute

On the A2 near Vianen, a man was deliberately hit during a traffic dispute on Sunday afternoon, the police reported. After a collision, the drivers of two cars got out to argue with each other. One of the two drivers then got back into the car and deliberately hit the other driver, a 26-year-old man from Venray.

10:45 am: Another FC Utrecht rioter arrested

The police have arrested another suspect in the riots after the match between FC Utrecht and Go Ahead Eagles. They did this following a tip. Not all suspects have been arrested yet, the police are still looking for seven others.

10:05 am: Heavy thunderstorms with strong gusts of wind

Heavy thunderstorms with strong gusts of wind will pass over the province tonight. The KNMI has therefore issued a code yellow between 23:00 and 03:00. There is also a chance of a large amount of rain and hail.

06.10 am: Victim of threat sought in Veenendaal

A threat took place in Veenendaal last night at 19:40. This happened at the bridge between Tinneweide and Groeneveldselaan. The police were able to arrest the perpetrator. But are still looking for the victim of the threat. The police are calling on the victim to come forward.
